We ONLY accept returns with proof of purchase.  No exceptions will be made to this policy.  Our inventory system will not allow us to process a return unless we can verify the exact time and invoice number of the original purchase.  If you purchased the item yourself, you must have a receipt.  You may return an item for someone else only if you have a receipt and we have their contact information on file, and the refund will only be issued to the person who paid for that item, either by a refund to the account they used to purchase the item or in the form of a gift certificate mailed to the address in our records.  If the item was a gift, you must have a gift receipt in order to return the item(s).  You will not be able to receive a refund for an item you received as a gift because the account originally used to make that purchase does not belong to you.  We will, however, issue a gift certificate or allow for an even exchange.  If you purchased the item from our web store, you should have received a receipt both by email and in the package when your order arrived.

All returns must be initiated within 40 days of the original purchase date.  We cannot accept a return if we did not know the shipment was en route.  In order to receive a refund for your returned merchandise, you MUST contact Courtney’s Corner within 40 days of the original purchase date and state your desire to return your purchase.  You must also receive confirmation that we are ready to receive your shipment (which may arrive outside of the allotted 40 day time frame) before you send it.  If we confirm your return, we will give you a date by which you must ship your returns in order for us to refund them before the expiration of the 60 days that PayPal has allotted to us for requesting a refund to your account.  Exceptions will not be made to the allotted 40 day time frame, as it is required in order for us to process your return and refund your payment within the time frame that PayPal has allotted for us.  Do not send items that were purchased on multiple invoices in the same shipment.  Courtney’s Corner reserves the right to refuse any further refunds to any customer if we determine that the customer in question has established a frequent pattern of returning their purchases as such a pattern may constitute return fraud, which is a criminal offense.

All refunds will be issued in the same form of payment in which they were received.  Cash and check refunds cannot be issued because Courtney’s Corner does not currently have a means to accept cash or check payments.  Credit cards and gift certificates are processed through PayPal, and all refunds will therefore be handled through the PayPal account that was used to purchase the merchandise.  We cannot issue refunds to a different PayPal account than that which was used to make the purchase.  We cannot issue refunds to a PayPal account that no longer exists, so we advise you to not cancel your account or alter your credit card information on your PayPal account for 40 days following the date of your purchase from Courtney’s Corner.  Gift certificates cannot be refunded, and custom-made items cannot be returned. 

All return shipping charges are at the expense of the customer. Therefore, in the event of an even exchange, you must consequentially pay the shipping cost three times.  We highly advise that you ensure that size specifications are correct before you place your order with Courtney’s Corner.  We have provided a set of instructions for determining the appropriate size here.  If you are looking to buy a gift for someone and you are unsure of his or her size, consider purchasing a gift certificate.

COURTNEY’S CORNER WILL NOT ISSUE REFUNDS IF PRICES DECREASE AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED A PURCHASE, NOR WILL WE MATCH PRICES OF PREVIOUS SALES AFTER THAT SALE HAS EXPIRED.  THE PRICES LISTED IN THE CATALOG AT THE TIME YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER ARE THE PRICES YOU WILL BE CHARGED, AND YOUR COMPLETION OF THE ORDER CONSTITUTES A BINDING AGREEMENT TO PAY THOSE PRICES.

Courtney’s Corner is under no obligation to make an exception to the Return Policy or any other policies outlined in these Terms & Conditions, and we will do so only at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.  Any decision on the part of one or more of our representatives consisting of an exception to these Terms & Conditions does not establish a guarantee that the same exception will be made in the future under a similar set of circumstances.
